Operation
180 Turn Around
TASK-FORCE

Operation 180 Turn Around is a Task-Force of caring individuals and companies dedicated to directly impacting crimes against children.

Donation of Electronic Detection K9s to law enforcement agencies specializing in child abuse and trafficking. The Electronic Detection K9s assist law enforcement during a search with the goal to located hidden electronic devices the criminals and sex offenders will conceal from law enforcement. One micro device the size of your fingernail can hold MILLIONS of images and Videos of abused children and child pornography videos. The devices located by the K9 may be used in court to help in the prosecution of the offender and rescue children identified in the images We have six K9s donated to agencies all over South Carolina, recently placed one in Georgia, and the Press Conference Introducing the Seventh Electronic Detection K9 - November 2022

To Date: All K9s have located an estimate of Seven devices missed by law enforcement during a search. Many of the devices lead to identifying live victims and bringing solid evidence to prosecute the criminal: It is important to stop those who hurt the children because the average sex offender can have 150 child victims

We invite you to become part of this growing Task-Force of donors who help fund Electronic Detection K9s, a State of the Art tool for law enforcement agencies, assisting them in locating electronic devices that are difficult or impossible to find using traditional search methods.  Locating and seizing this hidden evidence is vital to prosecuting criminals, rescuing children, and creating a safer community.

Defenders For Children display the task force list on our social media platforms, main events, and publications for many years. To add your name or company to the list, we ask individuals, companies, churches, or groups to fundraise or donate $1,000 or more.  The more money donated, the more K9s will be placed, and more children will be saved. The Task Force will help place Electronic Detection K9s with Law Enforcement Agencies dealing with high levels of child abuse, trafficking, and pornography.  Any company, group, or individual that raises or donates $23,000 will receive special K9 naming privileges.   You will leave a lasting legacy.

Cast Against Abuse

Where Men & Women Come Together To Support The Fight Against Child Abuse Through The Sport Of Fishing
This project allows children and teens living in group homes an opportunity to a full day of fishing with volunteer fishermen & women during a professional tournament setting or a tournament designed just for them.  In the US, on any given day, there are 438,000 children in foster care due to abuse. Twelve percent of those children are living in group homes. When one of those youths attends a Cast Against Abuse fishing tournament, it is possible that this is the first time that he/she has had the opportunity to see a lake, ride on a boat or experience fishing.   We believe it is moments like this when good men and women are willing to take the time to show this young person a fun day on the lake, and it could be a highly therapeutic experience.   This project relies on its volunteers and supporters to show these young men & women that people are willing to take time out of their day, for nothing in return, to give them a memorable experience. Experience in a fun sport and have a chance to see first hand that there are people who care.

Blankets of Hope

Over 6,400 adults & children have been involved. Over 1,300 Blanket's of Hope have been assembled. Over 1,300 children have been shown they "are loved, and they are treasured."
A report of child abuse in the US is made every 10 seconds. When one of those children is removed from their home, the child has suffered an extremely undeserving harmful crime against them, often by those they love and trust the most. Often, the child is unable to leave with few if any of his or her own possessions. When the guardian-ad-litem or law enforcement officer arrives to save that child, their world, while already full of chaos and harm, has suddenly come to an extreme whirlwind of uncertainty, fear, and loneliness. In this moment, this "stranger" to the child, is able to wrap the child in a Blanket of Hope made by the community that can give the child a sense of safety, security, and comfort. This project has given companies, churches, and members of the community an opportunity to provide & assemble these blankets.

One Step Stronger

Bringing Positive Peer Pressure. Teens Helping Teens Feel Safe While Facing Unspoken Challenges of Everyday Life.
We believe that child abuse can cause a ripple effect of other challenges that teenagers can face including; child abuse, domestic abuse, bullying, cyberbullying, rape, domestic abuse, depression, drug & alcohol use or addiction, sex trafficking, and more. Too often, when teens are dealing with any of these challenges, the only people they feel safe enough to turn to for help are their friends. The One Step Stronger project provides teens with the resources, knowledge, and experiences to help friends or peers that confide them.
Some of the teens who have been involved in One Step Stronger have their own challenges to work through. Other teens were involved because they were aware of those challenges and wanted to find a way to help. No matter their age, background, or story, these teens have taken the time to create & implement awareness pieces via events, social media, and video journalism to show their peers they are not alone and to encourage them to find help and become One Step Stronger.

Child Voice America

Reaching The Public Through Video & Production.
Street interview locations completed: Boston Massachusetts, Nashville Tennessee, Greenville South Carolina.

One in three girls and one in six boys are at risk of being sexually abused in our nation. Each time an adult speaks up about crimes against children one of those children could be saved. Child abuse is one of the most uncomfortable topics to discuss. It is also one of the most uncomfortable crimes to be the victim of.

At Defenders For Children, we speak about that which too often goes left unsaid. We do that by starting each video with a question asked to celebrities, politicians, and the general public of all ages and backgrounds. Why, What is Love, and Do you know how to spot a child molester, are among a few questions we ask.

Thank you to the celebrities who have been a voice for a child in Defenders For Children's video production pieces!
